If you are using the latest version of SAS Learning Edition (version available from Amazon for 15% off full retail), this book also makes a perfect companion since it covers SAS Enterprise Guide and the same release of SAS 9. Like many Dummies books, it is an introduction that will get you moving forward and make you productive in short order. SAS for Dummies has 2 available editions to buy at Half Price Books Marketplace This is a very useful book on how to use SAS Enterprise - the graphical SAS programming front-end package that comes with SAS these days, and it teaches readers to do some elementary reports and statistical analyses. In this, it provides a great background on 4/5(1).

Even though this book is titled SAS For Dummies, you absolutely need some smarts to get solid results using SAS. However, the overarching message of this book is that you don’t need to be an expert at using software. You just need to know what questions to ask, what data is needed to provide an answer, and how to interpret the results. Sas for dummies delivers what it says, a general brush on the characteristics of SAS. Depending on the capabilities and by-products installed could be of more help; in my case, the OLAP interface and the office plugging is lacking, making half the book not really helpful. Personally I would recommend the little SAS Book for enterprise/5.

Editions for SAS For Dummies: (Paperback published in ), (Paperback published in ), (Kindle Edition published in ), (Ki. 4 The Little SAS Enterprise Guide Book Resetting SAS Enterprise Guide Options There are many options in SAS Enterprise Guide that affect how it works. For example, you can turn off the Welcome window, or change the default format and appearance of results. If someone has.
